The mobile phone scene has basically become a commodity market—thin rectangular this direction of UI. This post discusses visual thinking tools and actions from an information design perspective, presenting how those tools and actions can be applied in the stages of the design process. They will hire much better designers – who aren't trying to hold onto what they knew. Because of that love, I'm very excited to see my article, Sketching: the Visual Thinking Power Tool featured in A List Apart 322 this morning. The only thing I love more than sketching is encouraging others to sketch. What is interesting to me is the rate at which the topic of visual thinking and the design aspect of it is gathering momentum. The visual language of all three is similar enough that most baby boomers couldn't differentiate. I don't think this is a lack in vision of Jonathan Ive but rather him not being able to force or convince his design team to truly get onboard with a simpler more digital UI.
